This is where our golf career started....Carrey Island!!

CAREY ISLAND IN MEMORY

Ha ha ...im sure you guys still remember this haunting trip. We had to endured 2-hour drive to nowhere before we found this scary golf course somewhere in Klang/Banting....

The performance was terrible but the trip was well worth it. We maybe among the 1% among Malaysian golfers who had played there....

The following photos were found in my PC for memories sake!

Prerealease MagictheGathering - Lorwyn

Jose Mourinho in Memory!

It is no more secret that Jose Mourinho has leave Chelsea FC. I accept the news in bitter tears and disbelief. But how much i bleed into tears, Mourinho is no more longer in charge of Chelsea and Avram Grant is the new Manager for the club. Whether Abramovich got it right or wrong, i hope Chelsea is not going to affected by this and move forward instead of crumbling into pieces.

This is my tribute to the 'Speacial One'. I compile some of his infamous quote to share with u guys. He will sorely miss and to me he's the biggest thing that Chelsea had ever had in the 12 years of me being Chelsea fan. 10 cups in 3 years and Premiership title in the first year in charge. He has live up to the expectation.

Hail Jose Mourinho!!

JOSE ON JOSE

"Please don't call me arrogant, but I'm European champion and I think I'm a special one."
Introducing himself to the English press after arriving from Porto in 2004.

"If I wanted to have an easy job... I would have stayed at Porto - beautiful blue chair, the Uefa Champions League trophy, God, and after God, me."
Making a mockery of those who suggest he is big-headed.

"For me, pressure is bird flu. I'm feeling a lot of pressure with the problem in Scotland. It's not fun and I'm more scared of it than football."
Insisting his side wouldn't catch a cold as Man Utd breathed down their necks.

"Look at my haircut. I am ready for the war."
Unveiling his new Action Man haircut.

WORDS OF WISDOM

"It's like having a blanket that is too small for the bed. You pull the blanket up to keep your chest warm and your feet stick out. I cannot buy a bigger blanket because the supermarket is closed. But the blanket is made of cashmere!"
On the injury 'crisis' at Chelsea in February.

"Young players are a little bit like melons. Only when you open and taste the melon are you 100% sure that the melon is good."
On developing Chelsea's young stars.

A basket of eggs
Jose put all his eggs in one basket

"The style of how we play is very important. But it is omelettes and eggs. No eggs - no omelettes! It depends on the quality of the eggs. In the supermarket you have class one, two or class three eggs and some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem."
What turned out to be his parting shot to Roman Abramovich.

"I would love an Aston Martin but if you ask me £1m for an Aston Martin, I tell you, you are crazy because they cost £250,000."
Insisting not even Chelsea would pay over the odds for a defender.

"Sometimes you see beautiful people with no brains. Sometimes you have ugly people who are intelligent, like scientists. Our pitch is a bit like that. From the top it's a disgrace but the ball rolls at normal speed."
Describing Chelsea's sandpit of a pitch.

"We all want to play great music all the time, but if that is not possible, you have to hit as many right notes as you can."
Admitting the Blues weren't completely on song last season.

"Maybe the guy drank red wine or beer with breakfast instead of milk."
After a Sheffield United fan threw a bottle at Frank Lampard during Chelsea's 2-0 win at Bramall Lane.

"A player from Man City showed half of his ass for two seconds and it was a big nightmare. But this is a real nightmare."
Comparing Petr Cech's nasty injury with Joey Barton's bottom-baring antics.

THE WIFE

"She is the real manager of family life. You are the star outside, here you are not a star."
Mourinho admits his wife wears the trousers at home.

Mourinho and wife Matilde
Mourinho and the extra special one

"It all depends on my wife. If I am at home, yes, I will see it. But maybe my wife would like to go somewhere. I would like to see it - I like to see football and it is a big game. But maybe I will have no permission."
Waiting to hear whether he'd be allowed to watch Arsenal-Man Utd.

"My wife is in Portugal with the dog. The dog is with my wife so the city of London is safe, the big threat is away."
Reassuring the population that his runaway Yorkshire Terrier had left the country with his wife.

PLAYERS

"A brilliant reaction. I hate it when players just walk off."
Following Arjen Robben's sharp exit down the tunnel after being substituted against Aston Villa.

"As you know Gallas had an unbelievable holiday. I hope he enjoyed it very much in Guadeloupe, which I think is a fantastic place to be on holiday, so he wanted to stay there for a long time."
On William Gallas missing the first team's trip to the United States because he was on holiday.

"I did it because I want to push my son to do the same. I also did it because I want to push the young players on my team to have a proper haircut, not the Rastafarian or the others they have."
Mourinho confirming he's a cut above the rest with his skinhead.

REFEREES

"When I saw Rijkaard entering the referee's dressing room I couldn't believe it. When Drogba was sent off I didn't get surprised."
Claiming Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard had met with Anders Frisk at half-time in their Champions League tie.

Graham Poll and Jose Mourinho
The best of enemies

"If you ask me if I jump with happiness when I know Mr Poll is our referee? No."
Not a fan of Graham Poll.

"I could feel immediately the movement. To somebody that understands the game and feels the football, smells the situation, it was obvious."
Senses working overtime after a dodgy offside flag denies Chelsea a goal against Blackburn.

RIVALS

"Wenger has a real problem with us and I think he is what you call in England a voyeur. He is someone who likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have this big telescope to look into the homes of other people and see what is happening. Wenger must be one of them - and it is a sickness."
Astonishing attack on Arsene Wenger.

"Three years without a Premiership title? I don't think I would still be in a job."
Putting the boot into Rafa Benitez.

Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho
He loves me, he loves me not

"Many great managers have never won the Champions League - a big example is not far from us."
Reminding Wenger there's only room for one Special One in London.

"Liverpool are favourites because in the year 2007 we've played 27 matches and Liverpool play three or four."
Cranking up the pressure ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg.

"If you're not a big club, you choose one competition and you fight in that competition and forget the others. Big clubs - we cannot do this."
Warming to his theme.

"I am happy to be six points behind. In my opinion, Manchester United did not take advantage of our bad moments."
Delighted Manchester United are so far ahead in the Premiership in January.

"I want to give my congratulations to them because they won. But we were the best team."
In typically gracious mood after his side's Carling Cup defeat by Charlton on penalties.

THE WORLD IS AGAINST US

"This is the only time we have had to play before United and that's because we control the fixtures. Just imagine if we didn't control them!"
Hitting back at Sir Alex Ferguson's claim that Chelsea engineered their game with Tottenham to take place just 39 hours after Spurs' Uefa Cup match in Seville.

Lionel Messi
Hands up who likes diving

"How do you say 'cheating' in Catalan? Barcelona is a cultural city with many great theatres and this boy has learned very well. He's learned play acting."
Claiming Lionel Messi got Asier Del Horno sent off in a Champions League defeat by Barcelona.

"During the afternoon it rained only in this stadium - our kitman saw it - they tried everything. There must be a microclimate here."
Bemoaning Blackburn's pitch-watering tactics after the Blues' hard-fought win at Ewood Park.

IN DEFENCE OF CHELSEA

"We have eight matches and eight victories, with 16 goals, but people say we cannot play, that we are a group of clowns. This is not right."
On his high horse after beating Liverpool.

"Entertaining? Too much!"
After the roller-coaster 3-2 win over Birmingham on the opening day of the season.

"I think I have a naive team. They are naive because they are pure and they are clean. We don't have divers, we don't have violent people."
On his clean-living Chelsea boys, after Florent Malouda won a dodgy penalty against Liverpool.

WHAT THE REST THINK OF HIM

"If Chelsea are naive and pure then I'm Little Red Riding Hood."
Rafa Benitez suspects Jose is telling porkies.

Jose Mourinho
Me? Good looking?

"My wife will be glad about Mourinho coming to Bramall Lane because he's a good looking swine, isn't he?"
Neil Warnock.

"He is almost a Yorkshireman with a Portuguese accent."
Warnock again.

"When Mourinho says training will last one-and-a-half hours it will never last a second longer."
Former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen on Mourinho's worrying attention to detail.

"I find it out of order, disconnected with reality and disrespectful."
Arsene Wenger did not take too kindly to the 'voyeur' comments.

"Two finals in three years - not bad for a little club.''
Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard twists the knife after his side, branded a "little club" by Mourinho, reached the Champions League final at Chelsea's expense.

Cucuwan goes Buka Puasa!

Sept 21 - Cucuwan at last manage to get together and live up to expectation buka puasa di Kenny Rogers Midvalley bersama-sama bagi edisi Ramadhan Mubarak 2007 (thanks to Fila organising). No surprise that Jose made the first appearance and as usual Sir Alah made the last cut though only working in Bangsar. Appreciate that everyone turns up and as u can see in the pic, cucuwan gathering telah diserikan dengan kehadiran dua gadis pingitan, Yana and Gina (tq for joining us, takdelah kita nampak mcm loser sgt).

Lepas membedal 1/4 chicken meals, we headed up to 3rd floor to exercise our itchy hand a little bit by playing bowling for 1 frame. We decided to separate ourself to 2 teams to compete with the Senior team consists of captain Fila, Jose and Lord Dan against the Under-23 with Memet (C), Damian and Sir Alah. In the end i turn out to be the gem of my team (lucky punk) with 133 points and Fila with 119 points but Lord Dan was dissappointed with series of throwing ball into longkang.

We manage to hit some games of photo hunt before went for jamming for 2 weeks running. I must say our performance for the hours was awesome and we barely felt the 2 hrs passed by. We called off the day lepaking at Suzi's and eye ball rolling to some hot chicks 'available' there. There goes my pahala puasa..hehe..

It's a wrap up..ciao!

Reaction to Mourinho's exit

The news of Jose Mourinho's departure from Chelsea has been met with disbelief within and outside the football fraternity.

The 'Special One' helped Chelsea win two Premier League titles, two League Cups and an FA Cup during his spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Now one of the finest managers in the game finds himself unemployed.

Below is a pick of the reaction to the news:

"The Prime Minister is a football fan and somebody who enjoys watching Premier League games, so he knows Mourinho has a fantastic record of success.

"He's made a significant contribution to British football in a short period of time and he's also one of the great characters of the game."
A spokesperson for PM Gordon Brown

"Once you take away the authority the manager has in signing players, you're on a slippery slope.

"What I would say about Mourinho is his record is with underachieving players and when Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack came in, it disturbed the balance.

"They've never looked as fluid and that's because the manager probably did not himself believe that is the way they should be playing."
Former England boss Graham Taylor

"I think that half the team will have been affected badly and it's going to be hard to get that team spirit that Jose managed to manufacture."
Former Chelsea forward Gavin Peacock

"I'm absolutely astounded at what's happened.

"Winning football matches is what the game's about and he is a winning manager who puts a winning mentality in players' heads and they go and win things."
Former Chelsea captain Ray Wilkins

"The man is a superb coach. He'll be hugely missed and took Chelsea to a level they could have dreamed of a few years ago. He will be hugely missed."
Former Chelsea player Pat Nevin

"Abramovich might be a wealthy honest guy. But when it comes to football, he knows nothing. He owes Mourinho for what he has done to the club and bring them to where they are right now. He is irreplaceable and a big loss to Chelsea."
Demonfire FC Manager Jose Hafizho

Mourinho Sacked!!!

Chelsea have confirmed that manager Jose Mourinho has left the Stamford Bridge club by 'mutual consent' after three trophy-laden years at the helm.

However, the rumours of his departure began earlier in the day and claimed that billionaire owner Roman Abramovich called crisis talks following Tuesday night's disappointing 1-1 draw with Norwegian minnows Rosenborg in the Champions League, at which the fractious duo had a furious falling out.

Mourinho is believed to have informed senior players of his departure following training on Wednesday and one of those players insists that the manager has not resigned but has been sacked by the Blues.

The Portuguese manager, who has won the Champions League with Porto and two Premier League titles as Chelsea manager, was the subject of continual scrutiny last season and hinted at an exit last summer when he admitted he 'was a bit fed up with certain things' at the club.

After three-years at the London club the self-styled 'Special One' is expected to attend training for the final time on Thursday, when he will say good bye to his players. Chelsea lost their title to Manchester United last season and have started this campaign with some lacklustre displays.

Their last two Premier League games ended in a defeat at Aston Villa and a 0-0 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers, leaving them fifth in the table.

Tuesday's draw with Rosenborg Trondheim in the Champions League was watched by just 25,000 fans.
Chelsea's next match is against Premier League champions Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things.

Narrated Abu Dhar:
The Prophet asked me at sunset, "Do you know where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing." Drafting 2 Nationals 2007

At last I found the time to write my walkthrough of 2nd Drafting at Pod 3 after 4-2 results overall. In the pod I’ve sat yet again with Pang Ming but this time I’m feeding him with Hari’s teammate (forgot his name) feeding me.

I’ve opened my favourite green baloth over Serrated Arrows and Amrou Scout (Pang Ming fav card). I should have gone with the artifact card since it is playable with whatever my coloured deck will be. I got a second pick Lightning axe but a third pick Castle Raptor could signal white to open. Indeed a couple of Benalish Cavalry and an Amrou Seeker got passed by but a 7th / 8th pick Durkwood Baloth staring at me and say ‘Play Me!’ Oh my god! No one wants to play green ke? My pod might have underestimate the power of green but with future sight provides powerful decent fatty guys, I’m not! I took Herd Gnarr over Fortify which could have given a wrong signal to Pang Ming but I’m surprised my Amrou Scout came back and I’m set for Green/White beats deck. Looking forward to Sunlance, Utopia Vow and Giant Duskwasp.

I’ve opened Harmonize which good to drawing my creatures over a Shaper Parasite. But after that seems like No quality green or white cards coming from Pang Ming side. I worried for a moment passing 2 Blightspeaker which could actually set me into White/Black Rebel deck. But I remember statement says that ‘You’ll be getting twice cards from your right partner” which feeding me g/w and I should stick with that. I took 5th pick Utopia vow and 2 Aven Riftwatcher and a Saltfield Recluse (over Whitemane Lion because combat tricks) which I could find with my scoutie. Late Pouncing Wurm and Uktabi Drake get into my pick but that’s about it. I hope Future Sight don’t screw me up.

I took Judge Unworthy over Sporoloth Ancient for scrying and combat factor but getting a second Unworthy just make me relief cause now I should be getting my quality cards now. Glad that I stick to the colour after getting passed vast amount of green cards with Kavu Primarch, Llanowar Empath, Sporoloth Ancient, Nessian Courser and 2 Thornweald Archer. I even got 2 Knight of Sursi and one of them I took over the green Pact (debatable). A late Llanowar Reborn just make my day. Here is my decklist:-

Main Deck

60 card

8 Forests
8 Plains
1 Llanowar Reborn

17 lands

2 Judge Unworthy
1 Harmonize
1 Utopia Vow
1 Evolution Charm

5 Spells

2 Durkwood Baloth
2 Knight of Sursi
2 Benalish Cavalry
1 Castle Raptor
1 Amrou Scout
1 Amrou Seeker
1 Herd Gnarr
1 Aven Riftwatcher
1 Saltfield Recluse
1 Pouncing Wurm
1 Thornweald Archer
1 Nessian Courser
1 Kavu Primarch
1 Llanowar Empath
1 Sporoloth Ancient

18 creatures

I have a Krosan Grip and Return to Dust in sideboard for enchantment/artifact removal, a Lightning Axe splashed red if necessary, and Wistful Thinking against annoying sprout swarm if opponent has it like my 1st Draft. I didn’t got passed by any Sprout Swarm but I’m happy with my deck with tempo. 1st turn, Baloth or Baloth or Sursi or Sursi is the bomb!

I paired with Joe Soh and usually had bad memory when fighting against him. I can called him my jinx. He turns out to play Red/ Black aggro with plenty of removal I supposed and has Phyrohemia. Nice!

I played Benalish Cavalry on 2nd turn but met with Small Pox which I discarded a land, sac my cavalry and lose one point of life. He stabilize with a morph later but I got Harmonize to replenish my cards. Yeah! Joe Soh did cast his Henchfiend of Ukar but later I need to block that guy with my Raptor. He cast again another Ukar but my Riftwatcher slow the beating for a moment until I bring back my Raptor from my Charm. Soon, my Sursi hit the table but a timely Phyrohemia put me on the clock with 6 life. I need to beat him down and he was forced to activate Hemia ability on the stack at end of his turn to avoid me casting any creature on my turn. But a Baloth and Pouncing Wurm with kicker join my team spells misery to Joe Soh first game.

My second game I side in Krosan Grip for his Hemia and I took out Vow and to cut the story short I beat his ass with 1st Sursi, 2nd turn Benalish Cavalry, 3rd turn Cessian Cousar, 4th turn Empath and 5th turn Raptor with Reborned graft counter. Nice job!

I fought Andrew Lee from Penang who win against U/W Pang Ming draft deck. I know Andrew plays U/B with Dark Withering, Sudden Death and Acid combo with 1/3 flyer dude guy.

I went the first game with the bomb hand. 1st turn Baloth. 2nd turn Sursi and Baloth. My opponent gave the look and says what the hell!! He later mentioned he was afraid to fight with the guy who playing green in the pod after passing so many quality cards and guess his nightmare has just hit him on the table. But Andrew managed to cast 2 Rebel Imp and Tolarian Sentinal but my Amrou Scout finding Recluse and Riftwatcher just slow the beating. He has Rathi Trapper for my Baloth and wither away my Sursi and sudden death my Courser. But my second Baloth join the team and made the calculation much complicated. Castle Raptor made an appearance and stop the flyer beating. He scooped to go to 2nd game.

I suspended my Sursi and Andrew starts well with 2nd turn Infiltrator Kor suspended. I was afraid of the Kor cause I don’t have shadow creature to deal with him until I drew my Unworthy. Selamat!! He tries to beat me down again with his creatures but my recluse and riftwatcher again slowing the tempo. The inevitable came when my Primarch and Wurm kicker came to the battle and he says good luck to me for the next round.

Next round I fought Ben my teammate and we sat down and chat whether to give me the win and push for me upwards or play. But after showing my bomb deck and plays the 2 games, he recognize my drafting skills. Sorry Ben tough luck!

3-0 and tak sia-sia aku berlatih draft selama ni!!

Cucuwan goes Jamming!

Fasting month has come but it doesn't mean Cucuwan is taking a break. We are still in business and last night we had a jamming session and guess what! the biggest reunion i could say since cucuwanblogspot introduction. Thanks to Lord Dan, which somehow or rather back to his root this fasting month, for organising such an event.

Without further due, these are the latest member of Cucuwan Rockers!!

The no. 1 integral member of the band. Lord Dan plays the lead/rhythm guitar and responsible for setting the direction of the band. He compiles tabs for us to play in every single jamming session though there is tendency to extract 'pompuan' songs due to Nina's influence to his imaginary life.

Damien Geordies is the singer of our band but lately trying hard to put the harmonica element into our songs. He decided to call it quits to his other band and put focus totally to Jenny Blue. He brings different dimension to the band in terms of voice intonation and easily the prettiest member of the band. Haha!!

Sir Alah is the backbone of the band playing as the drummer. He has proven his worth in the band putting my drummer career to RIP. Versatile and could play guitar when needed and petty in detailing of song arrangement. He has put much devotion to the band but with NSTP commitment on the line, we're happy that he's not that stressful as before if were not performing to his expectation in a jamming session.

Fila is the back-up vocal cum percussionist cum vocalist lagu melayu to the band. Always dressed up to the occassion and never fails to turned up for a jamming session except when duty labying calls. Recently involves in his choir charet in UEM and improving under Siti Hajar teaching but advised to cut down some weight to maintain the level of piching performance during choir session.

Wee and Memet is the back up cum handymen for Jenny Blue. To me they are consider part of the team and happy to sit on the bench and play at second half of jamming session. Wee can play guitar and drum while Holy Memet able to bring Islamic perspective to the team with his marhaban and nasyid proverbs.

And last but not least, easily the most charming guy in the band, myself Jose Hafizho. I play bass guitar with under influence of Oasis and Rage against the Machine. Lose focus and tabs sometime during a session but recover quickly for damage control. The pioneer of Cucuwan band fromTetraklorometana name to Muzikarama tag and bring 'Magical element' to the team.

We enjoyed the jam session very much yesterday with no repeat of songs thanks to multiple type of tabs from Lord Dan. My favourite still Vertigo and Hapus but we still need to improve in terms of performance tightness. We celebrate Wee brithday at Suzi's Corner with Sup Ayam and Sisha and to Fila's delight the sisha cost him the slipper last night. Haha!!

Till the next issue! ciao!
