New York 14 Dec

New York 14 Dec - It will be complete if ur not visiting Central Park in New York. It is one of the must attraction place in New York and easily the biggest park u could ever had here in the city. I've taken my time to go there taking to Canal St and walk down the 5th Avenue. Here, i've visited Disney store and to manage to bump to the Trump Tower. Never thought of that.

Then, i reached Central Park around 1pm and yeah man it's huge park. I've been walking almost 1 hr and did'nt even covered half of it. BTW, if u r too tired too walk, u could use the service of horse wagon and trishaw. Since it's winter u might not see a lot of people hanging around since it's cold and wet but it's still a good experience for me. There is a museum and central park zoo here if u want to visit but i opt not too so i could have more money to spend for shopping later.

After that, around 3.30pm i've decided to go to Madison Square Garden (MSG) where it is a historical venue to most of sports and entertainment venue like superbowl, wrestemania and baseball. I took some pictures before headed to Macy's to buy Coach bag for my friend, Zul. His wife pesan so i could not dissappoint him.

Later in the evening a linger at Times Square before met up with Bal and Yati at Bubba Shrimp where this is seafood shop for Forrest Gump movie starring Tom Hanks. It is packed with people all the time and you need to line-up before getting a table. There is a concept here where there is a sign at each table. If u want the waitress to stop at ur table u just simply flip the sign to red color that says "Stop Forrest Stop". If not it will blue sign says "Run Forrest Run". Quite fascinating.

Okay it's time to sleep because we are planning to rent a car tommorrow to go to Atlantic City and Woodberry for the weekend. Till then, cya!

New York 13 Dec

New York 13 Dec - The unexpected showed up. It was a snowy and rainy day. I had to bring an umbrella for my trip. Ice covered most of the places, road, cars and watch out it is a little bit slippery walking down the aisle. Sejuknya tak terkata!

My plan for today is to walk through the Chinatown and buying some souvenir to bring back home. Instead, the showery rain and the cold weather hinder me to really explore the little China. I couldn't believe it that is not really easy to bargain with the Chinese. I thought it could be as easy as in Bangkok but i was wrong. Some are quite arrogant when it comes to bargaining.

Afterwards from Canal St, i went to buy Broadway ticket at Marquis Theatre near Times Sq. It was 2pm and to my surprise a lot of people has already line-up to get the tickets. It is true like Bal said to me yesterday, if we are not hurry we might not get tickets for tonight show. Luckily i got 3 tickets for The Drowsy Chaperone with Bob aget (Full House) as the main cast. It cost us USD60 for the show.

Then, after gruelling line-up i took a break at Junior Restaurant and ate their famous pancake and hot chocolate. It tastes really nice. After that, i shoot to Madame Tussauds museum for USD29 admission fees to see the wax of US celebrity. It kind a like Madame Tussauds in London maybe slightly better with additional mannequins. If it your first time, u'll be enjoying it very much.

Bal gave me a call to meet up at Marquis Theatre at 7.30pm and we went in as early as 7.45pm. The theatre is a new one and it was shimmers with red colour. We got a good seat thanks to my early ticket booking and even sat 2 row seats away to John Stamos (Full House). He still looks young the same as the TV Series before.

The show is a romantic comedy with Bob Saget becomes the narrator of the story. I really enjoy the show full with songs and laughter especially the Aldolpho guy who keeps making funny line. I wish my cousins was here to share the same experience. Sadly no camera is allowed in the theatre.

We went straight back home at around 10pm and singgah kat Mexican shop and bought Chicken Fujita for dinner. It tastes like chicken kebab with rice and beans. I like it very much.

Hopefully tomorrow is not raining so i could visit Central Park and Madison Sq Garden as my first plan.

New York 12 Dec

New York 12 Dec - I woke up around 10am and updated my blog and pics from yesterday visits. After browsing the net, i've been informed that the last elevator going up to Empire State Building is at 1.15pm. So i'm a bit in a rush and managed to sneak in at 1.10pm. The entrance fee is 19USD but in order to go to the highest peak (102nd floor observatory level) will cost u extra USD15. The building is under construction at 80th floor where at this level pic was taken for memoir and map plus audio tour can be purchased at USD12. I've then take another lift to level 86th floor to see the view of New York.

Here, there is not much room for visitor to view the scenery and a bit windy at this point so it can get easily cold up here. I managed to take a few snapshot while a lot of people doing so with not much room to take into account. There is also gift shop up here for people to buy. I then slip up to 102nd floor, the highest peak of the Empire State Building.

At this level the space is not that much but it is reasonable since not many people who are willing to pay extra to get up here. Since the peak is a closed area, u could take ur time to see the whole view of NY city without worrying the breeze of the cold wind. If i want to compare the peak of Eiffel Tower i've visited back in 1999, it is bigger space there in Paris.

After that, i walk to 5oth St and 5th Av to Rockefellar Center where people gather for ice skating experience. I stopped by at National Library and took some pics. At the Rockfellar, a lot of people taking pics because of nice scenery and the Christmas Tree and we could here christmas song all over the place. I then bump to NBC building where i took the Tour to go behind the scene in NBC studio. Macam David Letterman and Jay Leno Show. It will cost u around 18.50USD and the tour took u around 1 hour plus. Sadly, i couldn't take pics inside the studio because it is a restrictive area. The best part of the tour is u have the opportunity to go Live on camera being the anchor man of the news or the weather man..hehe..pretty fun

Next, Bal give me a call to meet him near his office because couple of his friend wanna meet up at his house to pick up some stuff because Bal is moving away..Opps..if u guys didn't know, Bal is moving to Bermuda for 1 year work posting. Bal will be coming back to Msia for a brief vacation sumwhere in Jan 14th. So, it's the chance for him to taste the roticanai and tose before going to Bermuda.

Later in the night, Bal cooked steak for us and Yati join us later around 8pm. after coming back from work. We then watched Haru Biru sent from Memet but we got confused with the storyline thoguh Bal like the camera settings. Bal passed me some money for me to buy Broadway show ticket for tomorrow at Times Sq so we'll be watching around 8pm.

Till then, ola!

New York 11 Dec

New York 11 Dec - I woke up around 9am and making my move at 10am after grabbing 3 slices of yesterday's pizza (still good). It was a sunny day and quite hot for a walk to the subway. The station is 71st Forest Hills and it is on E line. There is a lot of lines here at subway depending on where u go so u must pay attention if not u can get easily get lost down here.

Today i'm planning going to Statue of Liberty where u can stopped at the last staton of E line which is the WOrld Trade Center cum Chambers St. It will be 20 minutes walk to the Ferry Station so i decided to switch lane to Line 1 to South Ferry. What would u know? When i drop into the train i met with two student girls, Janet from Bogota, Colombia and Ayumi from Osaka, Japan who are going to the same place. They both studying at Florida and are on vacation here in New York. I asked them if they don't mind me joining them so at least i got friends to take pics with. Yahoo!!

We arrived at the Battery Park where u need to buy the ferry ticket of USD12 to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. If u want audio assistance then u'll need to add USD10 on top of it. The ferry consists of 3 decks and can hold up to 300 people a trip. The highest deck is where u could see the view and take pictures but at this point of time it is cold up there.

We arrived at the Statue and took some pictures but we are not permitted to climb to the stat because we need to make reservation 2 days before to do so. After that we are on the Ellis Island where this is the place for immigrants check in during earlier days. If u could see from my pics, they have a lot sub division of rooms to process immigrants before they can get into US. Registry room, medical room, legal room and to my surprise mental room where they are puzzles for u to solve. They are also buildings for people to sleep and detain if u are inflict by disease. Here too u could check ur ancestor history same like in the movie Hitch (Will Smith).

After that, we decided to go to Wall Street where we could find famous buildings from the Financial District. I took the pic of Trump building and few other monuments for memoir. We then go uptown to see the Ground Zero where the WTC building collapse from 9/11 incident. It's quite dark at that point (5pm) and we could here people doing construction for the new site to be rebuild. There is a board of names people died that day and there is a path station for u to go to New Jersey.

Next, i followed the girls to do some window shopping at nearby mall before i decided to call it the day to go and see Bal and Yati at 29th St and 5th Av for dinner. They took me to Olive Garden, one of the finest Italian restaurant here in New York and very much enjoy the food especially the appetizer and the desert , Ice-cream chocolate gelano..so creamy..hhhmmm

We then went back home and while i lying on the couch i was straight went to sleep....zzzzz....snoring kepenatan...

New York 10th Dec

New York 10 Dec - It has been good trip so far for me in New York. It is cold right now since my arrival on 4th Dec but u will get used to it if u are here for a while. There are so much for me to write here; my Magic competition, the New Yorkers, the food and weather, Iqbal and Yati but i'm going to concentrate here to walk you day to day my journey at New York from Iqbal's place in Queens since ada internet connection at his home.

Today morning Bal decided to take leave to accompany me and work from home. We decided to woke up late since semalam bergebang dari 9pm to 3am with Yati (Bal's girlfriend) cathcing up things since dah lame tak jumpa. But Bal is still the same old Bal and Yati was really friendly and i feel welcomed to their place in Queens. Btw, New York itself terbahagi kepada 5 area; Manhattan,Queens,Bronx,Brooklyn and Staten Island. Basically Manhattan is like KL where the business operation and the heart for New York and Queens is 20 minutes away (by subway) from Bal place. My staying while playing Magic tourney is at Manhattan 96th street and i took a cab to Bal's place which is USD40. The travelling is quite far because of the traffic and rain but if u took the subway is not that really bad for Bal to go to work.

Anyway, we got off to the nearest subway which is 71st Forest Hills. The subway cost only you USD2 per way regardless how far u go. But for Bal, he's using his monthly pass card of USD80 limitless ride. Then Bal bring me to Dallas BBQ for lunch and he ordered for us Tangerine Pina Codalas (without alcohol). My God, it tastes so nice and sweet. Good choice Bal. Then he ordered chicken wings and for me white meat with baked potato and fried mash. Kenyang giler siut sampai tak habis.

Then, Bal bring me to Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum and the admission cost was USD25. We took some pictures and i am amazed with some of the artifacts and stuff inside it. The trip will take the most is 1 hour depending how details you want to see things. I bought a small bottle as a souvenir.

Bal then brought me to the center of Times Square where usualy people will gather celebrate for New Year's Eve. I took the opportunity to visit Hard Rock cafe, MTV shop, Planet Hollywood, TGI Friday's and Toy's R Us. The streets also is full with Broadway show (teater) and we plan to see one of the show on this Thursday.

Bal dropped by to couple of music stores where we tested some of the guitars and drums there. Bal's love to hang out at those shops if he got the time and showed one of the guitar he got for his birthday.

We then shoot back home around 7.30pm and took our earlier laundry on the way back home. Yati joined us later from work and we ordered pizza and ate for dinner. Peperoni pizza i supposed. We then watched Impak Maksima given by Mak Yah and they enjoyed it very much. They were surprised that M'sia can produced that kind of story.

Tommorrow i'm planning to go to Statue of Liberty by myself and i hope i could my way there since Bal is working tomorrow. Till then that's for now.

Signing off.

Bangkok trip

25-29 Oct - It has been a wonderful 4 days trip to Bangkok last weekend. Going with 8 friends, playing Magic and experiencing Bangkok lifestyle, it couldn’t get any better.

Though I’ve done badly in GP Bangkok and PTQ KL, I took it on a positive note.I’ve learn something about the new set. U need to make sure that u build ur sealed deck to upmost synergy of creature tribes. U could been pulled to play with bomb cards and build around the color but it still about the tribe elements. Lorwyn can be tricky but after last weekend when I manage to see some pro players, it opens my eyes to new dimension and rating some cards in higher and better combination and in different colors. Still I lost badly.

But in Bangkok the night life is something u look forward to especially during weekend where they open market till late at night (mcm downtown). I significantly feel that u need to know around and familiar with places cause if u look too foreign, u can be targeted to be cheated. Kena pandai tawar-menawar especially with taxis and hawkers and generally u can get cheaper and fancier items here than in KL. Some people actually buying things here in Bangkok and sell back in KL for triple the price.

U would find that the girls here are gorgeous and cute in general. At first I thought it was only me but later my friends agree with me on this matter. That’s why Bangkok is called mini-heaven where the city is associated with guys finding pleasure here. It’s true that’s it easy to find access to beautiful girl or even massaging. There was a place called Poseidon where the girls there u could get for the night or even 2 hrs depending on ur budget. The place is as gigantic as Sunway Pyramid where the room is equipped with shower room, tv and huge bed.

U could not ignore that pork is like makanan ruji here and u could not run away from it. I even accompany my friend to eat pork chop and u could find it a little bit disgusting. What to do, my trip has more Chinese so just join them..but I ate mostly waffle, nasi even secret recipe just to be safe. If ur too fussy here, it’s quite troublesome to find the right food here. The tomyam here is superb and I even ate goring pisang with kelapa dipping..awesome!!

It’s not complete visiting Bangkok without visiting their temple. I manage to visit the Royal Grand Palace at the last day of the trip. I’ve been stopped at the guard post to wear long pants if I want to go in so I decided renting at 100 baht near the area. That day almost everyone wears in yellow shirt to respect and pray for the king who actually is ill at present. Coincidently, I wore my GP Bangkok t-shirt which is in yellow. The palace is huge and almost every crafting and building is in gold. Some area is restricted from taking pictures but I manage to slip-up one or two pics..hehe..don’t tell anyone k..

Overall I had fun and hopeful I could be back there for the GP Bangkok in 3 years time..

Damian down with Dengue fever

Ayan is currently suffering from Dengue fever disease. It is believe that he was diagnosed of such illness since last weekend and was admitted to General Hospital KL at Wad 26. He lost massive amount of red cells and is now being treated with dripping water and 100 plus beverage. He looks a little bit pale from the picture today but slowly recovering from the disease. Ayan is now in the middle of sitting his final exam for current semester and set to re-sit it in a later stage.

Our condolence from Cucuwan members and hopeful he'll be back on his feet in a week time.

This is where our golf career started....Carrey Island!!

CAREY ISLAND IN MEMORY

Ha ha ...im sure you guys still remember this haunting trip. We had to endured 2-hour drive to nowhere before we found this scary golf course somewhere in Klang/Banting....

The performance was terrible but the trip was well worth it. We maybe among the 1% among Malaysian golfers who had played there....

The following photos were found in my PC for memories sake!

Prerealease MagictheGathering - Lorwyn

Haha..it's the time of the season again..the new core set of Lorwyn will make an appearance this Saturday/Sunday at Cititel Hotel Midvalley. This set will be dominating for 2007/2008 year where Sealed Deck season kick back into market starting with GP Bangkok on 27-28 Oct 07 and ultimate first timer PT KL 2008 held somewhere in March 2008.

The set revive the environment of tribal creatures like in Onslaught block but colour combination will be different between tribes and creatures type. It also features new mechanic like planeswalker, champions on creatures and clash where combat phase will never be the same again. Expect bloody Giant Warrior against itsy bitsy Faerie Merfolk and the new Kithkin Soldier kicking some ass.

As for promo of the new set, click here for preview. Till then, which tribe will you side to?

Jose Mourinho in Memory!

It is no more secret that Jose Mourinho has leave Chelsea FC. I accept the news in bitter tears and disbelief. But how much i bleed into tears, Mourinho is no more longer in charge of Chelsea and Avram Grant is the new Manager for the club. Whether Abramovich got it right or wrong, i hope Chelsea is not going to affected by this and move forward instead of crumbling into pieces.

This is my tribute to the 'Speacial One'. I compile some of his infamous quote to share with u guys. He will sorely miss and to me he's the biggest thing that Chelsea had ever had in the 12 years of me being Chelsea fan. 10 cups in 3 years and Premiership title in the first year in charge. He has live up to the expectation.

Hail Jose Mourinho!!

JOSE ON JOSE

"Please don't call me arrogant, but I'm European champion and I think I'm a special one."
Introducing himself to the English press after arriving from Porto in 2004.

"If I wanted to have an easy job... I would have stayed at Porto - beautiful blue chair, the Uefa Champions League trophy, God, and after God, me."
Making a mockery of those who suggest he is big-headed.

"For me, pressure is bird flu. I'm feeling a lot of pressure with the problem in Scotland. It's not fun and I'm more scared of it than football."
Insisting his side wouldn't catch a cold as Man Utd breathed down their necks.

"Look at my haircut. I am ready for the war."
Unveiling his new Action Man haircut.

WORDS OF WISDOM

"It's like having a blanket that is too small for the bed. You pull the blanket up to keep your chest warm and your feet stick out. I cannot buy a bigger blanket because the supermarket is closed. But the blanket is made of cashmere!"
On the injury 'crisis' at Chelsea in February.

"Young players are a little bit like melons. Only when you open and taste the melon are you 100% sure that the melon is good."
On developing Chelsea's young stars.

A basket of eggs
Jose put all his eggs in one basket

"The style of how we play is very important. But it is omelettes and eggs. No eggs - no omelettes! It depends on the quality of the eggs. In the supermarket you have class one, two or class three eggs and some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem."
What turned out to be his parting shot to Roman Abramovich.

"I would love an Aston Martin but if you ask me £1m for an Aston Martin, I tell you, you are crazy because they cost £250,000."
Insisting not even Chelsea would pay over the odds for a defender.

"Sometimes you see beautiful people with no brains. Sometimes you have ugly people who are intelligent, like scientists. Our pitch is a bit like that. From the top it's a disgrace but the ball rolls at normal speed."
Describing Chelsea's sandpit of a pitch.

"We all want to play great music all the time, but if that is not possible, you have to hit as many right notes as you can."
Admitting the Blues weren't completely on song last season.

"Maybe the guy drank red wine or beer with breakfast instead of milk."
After a Sheffield United fan threw a bottle at Frank Lampard during Chelsea's 2-0 win at Bramall Lane.

"A player from Man City showed half of his ass for two seconds and it was a big nightmare. But this is a real nightmare."
Comparing Petr Cech's nasty injury with Joey Barton's bottom-baring antics.

THE WIFE

"She is the real manager of family life. You are the star outside, here you are not a star."
Mourinho admits his wife wears the trousers at home.

Mourinho and wife Matilde
Mourinho and the extra special one

"It all depends on my wife. If I am at home, yes, I will see it. But maybe my wife would like to go somewhere. I would like to see it - I like to see football and it is a big game. But maybe I will have no permission."
Waiting to hear whether he'd be allowed to watch Arsenal-Man Utd.

"My wife is in Portugal with the dog. The dog is with my wife so the city of London is safe, the big threat is away."
Reassuring the population that his runaway Yorkshire Terrier had left the country with his wife.

PLAYERS

"A brilliant reaction. I hate it when players just walk off."
Following Arjen Robben's sharp exit down the tunnel after being substituted against Aston Villa.

"As you know Gallas had an unbelievable holiday. I hope he enjoyed it very much in Guadeloupe, which I think is a fantastic place to be on holiday, so he wanted to stay there for a long time."
On William Gallas missing the first team's trip to the United States because he was on holiday.

"I did it because I want to push my son to do the same. I also did it because I want to push the young players on my team to have a proper haircut, not the Rastafarian or the others they have."
Mourinho confirming he's a cut above the rest with his skinhead.

REFEREES

"When I saw Rijkaard entering the referee's dressing room I couldn't believe it. When Drogba was sent off I didn't get surprised."
Claiming Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard had met with Anders Frisk at half-time in their Champions League tie.

Graham Poll and Jose Mourinho
The best of enemies

"If you ask me if I jump with happiness when I know Mr Poll is our referee? No."
Not a fan of Graham Poll.

"I could feel immediately the movement. To somebody that understands the game and feels the football, smells the situation, it was obvious."
Senses working overtime after a dodgy offside flag denies Chelsea a goal against Blackburn.

RIVALS

"Wenger has a real problem with us and I think he is what you call in England a voyeur. He is someone who likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have this big telescope to look into the homes of other people and see what is happening. Wenger must be one of them - and it is a sickness."
Astonishing attack on Arsene Wenger.

"Three years without a Premiership title? I don't think I would still be in a job."
Putting the boot into Rafa Benitez.

Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho
He loves me, he loves me not

"Many great managers have never won the Champions League - a big example is not far from us."
Reminding Wenger there's only room for one Special One in London.

"Liverpool are favourites because in the year 2007 we've played 27 matches and Liverpool play three or four."
Cranking up the pressure ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg.

"If you're not a big club, you choose one competition and you fight in that competition and forget the others. Big clubs - we cannot do this."
Warming to his theme.

"I am happy to be six points behind. In my opinion, Manchester United did not take advantage of our bad moments."
Delighted Manchester United are so far ahead in the Premiership in January.

"I want to give my congratulations to them because they won. But we were the best team."
In typically gracious mood after his side's Carling Cup defeat by Charlton on penalties.

THE WORLD IS AGAINST US

"This is the only time we have had to play before United and that's because we control the fixtures. Just imagine if we didn't control them!"
Hitting back at Sir Alex Ferguson's claim that Chelsea engineered their game with Tottenham to take place just 39 hours after Spurs' Uefa Cup match in Seville.

Lionel Messi
Hands up who likes diving

"How do you say 'cheating' in Catalan? Barcelona is a cultural city with many great theatres and this boy has learned very well. He's learned play acting."
Claiming Lionel Messi got Asier Del Horno sent off in a Champions League defeat by Barcelona.

"During the afternoon it rained only in this stadium - our kitman saw it - they tried everything. There must be a microclimate here."
Bemoaning Blackburn's pitch-watering tactics after the Blues' hard-fought win at Ewood Park.

IN DEFENCE OF CHELSEA

"We have eight matches and eight victories, with 16 goals, but people say we cannot play, that we are a group of clowns. This is not right."
On his high horse after beating Liverpool.

"Entertaining? Too much!"
After the roller-coaster 3-2 win over Birmingham on the opening day of the season.

"I think I have a naive team. They are naive because they are pure and they are clean. We don't have divers, we don't have violent people."
On his clean-living Chelsea boys, after Florent Malouda won a dodgy penalty against Liverpool.

WHAT THE REST THINK OF HIM

"If Chelsea are naive and pure then I'm Little Red Riding Hood."
Rafa Benitez suspects Jose is telling porkies.

Jose Mourinho
Me? Good looking?

"My wife will be glad about Mourinho coming to Bramall Lane because he's a good looking swine, isn't he?"
Neil Warnock.

"He is almost a Yorkshireman with a Portuguese accent."
Warnock again.

"When Mourinho says training will last one-and-a-half hours it will never last a second longer."
Former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen on Mourinho's worrying attention to detail.

"I find it out of order, disconnected with reality and disrespectful."
Arsene Wenger did not take too kindly to the 'voyeur' comments.

"Two finals in three years - not bad for a little club.''
Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard twists the knife after his side, branded a "little club" by Mourinho, reached the Champions League final at Chelsea's expense.

Cucuwan goes Buka Puasa!

Sept 21 - Cucuwan at last manage to get together and live up to expectation buka puasa di Kenny Rogers Midvalley bersama-sama bagi edisi Ramadhan Mubarak 2007 (thanks to Fila organising). No surprise that Jose made the first appearance and as usual Sir Alah made the last cut though only working in Bangsar. Appreciate that everyone turns up and as u can see in the pic, cucuwan gathering telah diserikan dengan kehadiran dua gadis pingitan, Yana and Gina (tq for joining us, takdelah kita nampak mcm loser sgt).

Lepas membedal 1/4 chicken meals, we headed up to 3rd floor to exercise our itchy hand a little bit by playing bowling for 1 frame. We decided to separate ourself to 2 teams to compete with the Senior team consists of captain Fila, Jose and Lord Dan against the Under-23 with Memet (C), Damian and Sir Alah. In the end i turn out to be the gem of my team (lucky punk) with 133 points and Fila with 119 points but Lord Dan was dissappointed with series of throwing ball into longkang.

We manage to hit some games of photo hunt before went for jamming for 2 weeks running. I must say our performance for the hours was awesome and we barely felt the 2 hrs passed by. We called off the day lepaking at Suzi's and eye ball rolling to some hot chicks 'available' there. There goes my pahala puasa..hehe..

It's a wrap up..ciao!

Reaction to Mourinho's exit

The news of Jose Mourinho's departure from Chelsea has been met with disbelief within and outside the football fraternity.

The 'Special One' helped Chelsea win two Premier League titles, two League Cups and an FA Cup during his spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Now one of the finest managers in the game finds himself unemployed.

Below is a pick of the reaction to the news:

"The Prime Minister is a football fan and somebody who enjoys watching Premier League games, so he knows Mourinho has a fantastic record of success.

"He's made a significant contribution to British football in a short period of time and he's also one of the great characters of the game."
A spokesperson for PM Gordon Brown

"Once you take away the authority the manager has in signing players, you're on a slippery slope.

"What I would say about Mourinho is his record is with underachieving players and when Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack came in, it disturbed the balance.

"They've never looked as fluid and that's because the manager probably did not himself believe that is the way they should be playing."
Former England boss Graham Taylor

"I think that half the team will have been affected badly and it's going to be hard to get that team spirit that Jose managed to manufacture."
Former Chelsea forward Gavin Peacock

"I'm absolutely astounded at what's happened.

"Winning football matches is what the game's about and he is a winning manager who puts a winning mentality in players' heads and they go and win things."
Former Chelsea captain Ray Wilkins

"The man is a superb coach. He'll be hugely missed and took Chelsea to a level they could have dreamed of a few years ago. He will be hugely missed."
Former Chelsea player Pat Nevin

"Abramovich might be a wealthy honest guy. But when it comes to football, he knows nothing. He owes Mourinho for what he has done to the club and bring them to where they are right now. He is irreplaceable and a big loss to Chelsea."

Mourinho Sacked!!!

Chelsea have confirmed that manager Jose Mourinho has left the Stamford Bridge club by 'mutual consent' after three trophy-laden years at the helm.

However, the rumours of his departure began earlier in the day and claimed that billionaire owner Roman Abramovich called crisis talks following Tuesday night's disappointing 1-1 draw with Norwegian minnows Rosenborg in the Champions League, at which the fractious duo had a furious falling out.

Mourinho is believed to have informed senior players of his departure following training on Wednesday and one of those players insists that the manager has not resigned but has been sacked by the Blues.

The Portuguese manager, who has won the Champions League with Porto and two Premier League titles as Chelsea manager, was the subject of continual scrutiny last season and hinted at an exit last summer when he admitted he 'was a bit fed up with certain things' at the club.

After three-years at the London club the self-styled 'Special One' is expected to attend training for the final time on Thursday, when he will say good bye to his players. Chelsea lost their title to Manchester United last season and have started this campaign with some lacklustre displays.

Their last two Premier League games ended in a defeat at Aston Villa and a 0-0 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers, leaving them fifth in the table.

Tuesday's draw with Rosenborg Trondheim in the Champions League was watched by just 25,000 fans.
Chelsea's next match is against Premier League champions Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things.

Narrated Abu Dhar:
The Prophet asked me at sunset, "Do you know where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing." (36.38)

Narrated Um Kulthum bint Uqba:
That she heard Allah's Apostle saying, "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar."

With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).
